Scholarships are offered to full-time students only (12+ Credits) consisting of a minimum of 9 core credits with the rest electives which will apply to your degree. Trade or career school students must also be full-time and enrolled in a one to two year program which results in completion of a degree or certified field of study. Students must also be accepted at an accredited college, trade school, or career school. Funding for room and board is offered to full-time students living on campus only. Distance education, including attending classes via internet, is limited to students who attend such classes from the campus of their accredited college, trade school, or career school.
All applicants must fill out the application for scholarship correctly, completely and legibly, and submit all required documentation.
All applicants must submit one (1) full page essay.
All applicants must submit two (2) letters of reference from persons, excluding family members that have known the applicant for at least two (2) years. The Trustees will contact both personal references submitted with the application.
Each applicant will provide an official school budget for the applicable educational period for tuition, fees and books, and room and board from the school. Please include the date your classes will begin and indicate if you will or will not be living on campus.
Each applicant will provide a letter of acceptance from the school for which they are planning on attending.
All applicants must submit their most recent official grade transcripts. In order for the Foundation to receive them in a timely manner, applicants will need to request transcripts as early as possible from the school most recently attended. (Official transcripts are usually sent directly from the school to the Foundation in an envelope sealed by the school registrar.) If official transcripts are not available when submitting your application unofficial, school generated transcripts may be substituted, but if a scholarship is granted an official transcript must be submitted to the Foundation before funds will be sent to the school.
